Prayer & Praise

PRAYER REQUESTS  (Feb 2012 update)

Personal

HEALTH

  • Patti & Scott are both battling Bronchitis type issues… chest and cough stuff
  • Scott’s knee has been acting up. swelling and pain… Ice is my friend.

SPIRITUAL

  • That we keep our eyes focused on what the Lord puts before us.
  • Prayer against the spiritual warfare in Danderhall. 
  • That the Lord would break down the stronghold that the enemy seems to have on the people here. There is such hopelessness and dullness in the eyes of so many folks.
  • That we stay consistent in our study of the Word. That we make time to sit quietly and wait on the Lord. 
  • That we recognize the spiritual warfare before it has a chance to bring us down and discourage us.
  • That we listen to each person and seek the Lord for His Word for that individual according to their need.

PRACTICAL

  • Scott’s job. Added responsibility and in need of workers and (college) finances for repairs. 
  • Changes at college (Principal is leaving at end of year) Wisdom for for our future.
  • College Council (board) willing to make changes for betterment of college. For them to honour God above traditions of man.
  • Pray for financial issues that would fall upon us if things were to change at the college and we would have to seek other residence. 
  • That we are good stewards of time and money. That we would be content with what we have and make the most of  it.
  • That we would rightly represent Jesus and bring Him the Honor and Glory due.

Family

  • Pray for Rylee, Hannah, and Gracelyn as they have very busy parents.
  • For Scott’s mother and her health  (and her new found computer skills)
  • Please pray that they would all walk in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus and find fellowship in the Body of Christ.
  • Pray for Patti’s brother Bill and his vision issues. Pray for wisdom for doctors and Bill as to what needs to be done.

Fellowship

  • Please pray for the Danderhall fellowship as we continue to reach out to the surrounding community.
  • We have several women that suffer from M.E. and often have difficulty getting to church.
  • For Dorothy (90) she has recovered from her leg injury and getting about but is lacking confidence in travelling about.
  • Please pray for Tom as he recovers from a heart attack and getting back to work. Also that he would be able to get back into fellowship through an altered work schedule.
  • Pray that we find a way to reach the adults and older youth in Danderhall.

The “Y” Club

  • Please keep this youth outreach in prayer. We meet Wed.  and Fri. nights and have about 25 10-14 year olds coming. 
  • Pray for Jodie and Blair who have prayer for Jesus to be their Lord and Saviour yet fear to let others know just yet.
  • Pray for Jodie as she works through a new believers study with Scott via e-mail.
  • Pray for our relationship with the Church of Scotland where we hold our meetings and services.
  • Pray for our leaders as we have the responsibility of  answering some tough questions and combating a Godless world view.

The Body of Christ

  • Pray for our fellowship in Danderhall as we continue to look for ways to reach out to the community here. We plan to change our meeting times and place in order to better serve the people and draw them in. Ultimately we believe that this stronghold can only be broken by prayer and fasting. Please join us as we ask the Lord bring down these strongholds.
  • Please pray for the outreaches that the students her in the college are involved in. Pray that they would be bold and yet sensitive to hear the peoples’s hearts and needs.

Missions

  • Please keep us in prayer as we seek oportunity to start Bible studies and work with our congregation and students here in Edinburgh.

PRAISE

  • Fruit beginning to show at church and clubs…. 
  • We are blessed to be in fellowship with so many wonderful believers… those in our fellowship and the students and staff here at the college.
  • We are so thankful to the Lord and those who have been so diligent to support us prayer and communications.
  • We also praise the Lord for the continued financial support given us by by many of you.
